Two families on a journey to create new homes in the Garden Route. Armed with half a lifetime of experience and friendship, a like-minded approach and a concise symmetrical budget. An authentic approach to a new place and self.
Site subdivided. Houses semi-attached. Cars in garages at street level. The homes drop down the dune facing north and aligned to the contours. Living areas have large glass sliding doors to letting in natural light, celebrating the panoramic view of lake, vlei and mountain edged horizons. The facade opens to the temperate climate, bird twitter and human activity.

In my career spanning three decades I have plenty of experience on building projects in South Africa and other African countries, resulting in a wide range of expertise and many T shirts to show for it. In this time I have also honed some nifty skill in architectural design, collective design process, green building systems, construction methods, property development planning.
